The Treaty Whiskey Society is delighted to announce details of our next tasting happening next Tuesday December 5th, showcasing Lough Ree Distillery https://www.lrd.ie/ in Jerry Flannery's Bar, Catherine St, Limerick. The event will be hosted by distillery Co-Founders Michael Clancy & Shiela Mullen who will guide us through a sampling of some of their highly celebrated and exclusive small batch releases.
Lough Ree Distillery is all about connection: connecting Whiskey tradition with modern technology. Connecting the gentle pace of rural Ireland with the confidence of a new generation. Located in Lanesborough Co. Longford just 50m from the River Shannon, Lough Ree Distillery was founded and run by 3 siblings Peter, Shiela and Mike, a wonderful example of what is a truly Irish family business.
From the distillery's multi-award winning Sling Shot Gin, to Bart's Irish Whiskey named in honour of the founders Father, it's highly acclaimed 17 special small batch Single Cask releases of Irish Whiskey found within The Bridge Series, and to its limited edition innovative releases of spirits within The Founders Series, this has been a busy busy family to produce all this in just a short period of time!
The distillery's Criu Cask Programme, EIIS Investment scheme and its Ambassador Programme all offer participants an opportunity to become part of the Lough Ree Distillery journey as the company seeks to triple in size in the next 2 years, which we plan to hear all about on the night.
